To recognize his prolific career as both a researcher and a practitioner, Dr. Terry Cooke-Davies was selected to receive the 2019 PMI Scholar-Practitioner Award on 5 October at the PMI Awards Gala in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

Professor Cooke-Davies has successfully applied research outcomes in practice and contributed to knowledge through extraction of learning from practice. As a practitioner, he is well known for his work studying the performance of major project-oriented companies. This work was so successful that it became a widely-used benchmarking tool. As a scholar, much of his highly cited research has featured this concentration on a deep understanding of “project success”, and his book The Right Projects Done Right is used worldwide.
Throughout his career, Professor Cooke-Davies has demonstrated an enormous commitment to the integration of practice and academic research, and his work is highly respected by both the project management academic and practitioner communities worldwide.
