Faculty continually search for publication outlets and other opportunities to advance the knowledge and practice of project management. PMI supports faculty's professional development by providing a wide variety of publication and presentation venues ranging from scholarly peer-reviewed journals to international academic conferences and symposia.
Publishing Options
1: Publication through PMI
We are a leading publisher of project management books, training tools, learning products, global standards and research monographs. We have a vast array of active titles,available in the Marketplace, and many are jointly published with Wiley & Sons.
We welcome manuscript submissions from faculty who have authored project management titles. To submit your manuscript, please submit a completed book proposal form to bookproposal@pmi.org.
2: Publication in the Project Management Journal®
The world's leading academic journal devoted to advancing the discipline of project management, the Project Management Journal is published in partnership with John Wiley & Sons. The Journal publishes research relevant to academics, advanced practitioners and organizations in project, program and portfolio management.
The Journal publishes empirical research employing a diverse array of methods and approaches, both qualitative and quantitative, as well as purely conceptual or theoretical papers. Our aim is to integrate the various strands of project, program and portfolio management research.
Due to the integrative and interdisciplinary nature of PM, the Journal publishes the best papers from a number of other disciplines, including, but not limited to, organizational behavior and theory, strategic management, sociology, economics, political science, history, information science, systems theory, communication theory, and psychology. Work that transcends the bounds of particular disciplines to address a broad audience is particularly welcome.

3: Present at a PMI Global Congress
PMI Global Congresses are the premier events of choice for professional development and education, networking, information sharing and recognition for project management practitioners worldwide.
Global congresses are held annually in each region of the world: Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), North America and Latin America. They feature Areas of Focus presentations that cover both global and regional project management issues and emerging challenges, relevant to project managers of all skill levels and career stages.
We invite you to apply to be a speaker or presenter at upcoming PMI Global Congresses. Call for presentations for each PMI Global Congress begins on the Monday after the previous year's congress closes and lasts approximately eight weeks. Submit your presentation proposal for a PMI congress.
